Generator Problem...Breaker Box
I have a 20 year old Winnebago with an Onan Emerald I BGE generator. It was working fine at home before we took it out. Got to the mountains, fired up the generator and it worked for about 30 munutes then I shut it down for about an hour and a half. Tried to restart it and it wouldn't. Changed spark plugs, but they were getting no spark. It would turn over but not start. Long story short...When home son was working on it and found that by taking the cover off the breaker box it started up so fast and ran like a dream. Put the cover back on and it won't start again. Off it works, on it doesn't. Can it be run without the cover? Any suggestions? Why would it do that all the sudden?
